About Us
Shirdi Sai Charitable Trust Jamshedpur (Regn No: 2021/JSR/4184/BK4/282) was established by Shirdi Sai devotees in 2021. Local Entrepreneur and Rotary’s Past District Governor Vijay Mehta and Kiran Mehta played important role in the Trust formation and its initial thrust towards identifying and reaching out to the deserving. They are supported by a Board of Trustees.
Our approach and offerings are based on the teachings of Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi, applied in a secular manner keeping the teaching of Baba as the focus. The primary goal is to combat food scarcity and inequity by providing nutritious meals in the immediate term and establishing a network of community kitchens in the long term. In addition to our food program, we also distribute blankets and sweaters to those in need during the winter season.
Our organization, SSCTJ, serves underprivileged tribal communities in and around Jamshedpur. As a registered public trust under the Income Tax Act of 1961 with a registration number of ABCTS 3066KF20212 dated 09-Nov-2021, we are obligated to comply with legal and financial regulations. We are registered under rule 80(G) (5) (VI) of the Income Tax Act, which means that donations made to SSCTJ are eligible for tax relief under section 80G of the IT Act. As a public trust and as mandated we file our audited accounts to the IT Department annually. This ensures transparency and accountability in our financial practices, and we are proud to uphold these standards. Our commitment to our donors is to utilize all funds received for the stated charitable purposes and to maintain strict financial compliance.
